The Montreal Canadiens (Les Canadiens de Montréal) is the oldest professional hockey team. Established in 1909, they were one of the 6 original members of the NHL when it was established in 1917. The Canadiens play their home games at the Bell Centre in Montreal Quebec. They are often called Les Habitants by their speaking fans or simply "The Habs".
