Attitude
by
Charles Swindoll
The longer I live,
the more I realise the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more
important than the past, than education, than money, than
circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what
other people think, say or do. It is more important than
appearance, giftedness or skills. It will make or break a
company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we
have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace
for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot
change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We
cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is
play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me
and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we
are in charge of our attitudes.

Children
Learn What They Live
by Dorothy Law Neite
If a child lives
with criticism, he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with
hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with
ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child learns to
feel shame, he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with
tolerance, he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with
encouragement he learns confidence
If a child lives with
praise, he learns to appreciate.
He a child lives with
fairness, he learns justice.
If a child lives with
security, he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with
approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with
acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the
world.

The
Essence of a New Day
Author Unknown
This is the
beginning of a new day. You have been given
this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use
it for good. What you do today is important because
you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When
tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever;
in its place is something that you have left
behind...let it be something good.

Togetherness
Author
Unknown
Do not stand
at my grave and weep. I'm not there, I do not
sleep.
I'm a thousand
winds that blow. I'm the diamond glint on
snow.
I'm sunlight on
ripened grain. I'm the gentle rain.
When you awaken
in the morning hush, I'm the swift uplifting
rush.
Of quiet birds in
circled flight. I'm the soft stars that shine
in the night.
Do not stand at
my grave and cry. I'm not there. I did not die.
